Psychological Assessment & Evaluation

What to expect:

  • Currently, Embolden You is able to offer assessments for individuals 18+ who are interested in clarifying diagnoses related to mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma and stressor related disorders. 

  • Assessments will be conducted virtually via a HIPAA compliant telepsychology platform

  • The assessment process typically involves:

    • A clinical interview to obtain background information and explore current concerns and symptoms

    • Review of available records or other relevant documentation

    • 1-2 testing appointments that are up to 2 hours in length 

    • Feedback session, during which evaluation findings and recommendations are discussed (a copy of the evaluation report is also provided)

  • Evaluations for ADHD are not available at this time. 

  • Embolden You does not conduct court ordered/forensic related evaluations.

Can I use my insurance?

  • Yes! (as long as Embolden You is in-network with your insurance policy) 

    • Please note that your insurance plan may not cover the full cost of the evaluation. You will be responsible for any remaining balance that is not covered by your insurance. 

  • An option for self-pay is available for individuals with out-of-network insurance plans. Please contact us for more information if you are interested in this option. 

ready to gain valuable insight from a psychological assessment?

  • A: Currently, psychological assessments are only offered via telehealth.

  • A: Yes, we are in-network with most major insurance providers. However, we encourage each client to verify that Embolden You, LLC (or Jessica Dresden PsyD, LP, LLC) is in-network with their specific plan as each plan defers.

  • A: Yes, oftentimes, people have great OON benefits and are still able to continue their care with us. if we are out-of-network with your insurance, you are responsible to self-pay for your session on the date of service. We can then provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance.

  • A: Yes, if you do not have insurance that is in-network with Embolden You, self-pay is an option. Consult with your clinician on what their specific self-pay rate is. We also accept HSA/FSA.

  • A: Typically a standard diagnostic clarification evaluation is a 60-90 min intake, 2 hours of testing, and 1 hour feedback session. The feedback session is scheduled roughly 2 weeks after the final testing appointment.
